Creative Conversations:
An introduction to Visual Journaling with Artist Lauren Bleam
In this class, students will learn how to converse with themselves through writing and mixed media art. Visual journaling will allow students to go beyond the boundaries of a traditional sketchbook to explore their thought lives and transform their pages. We will be exploring watercolors, oil pastels, X-actos, bleeding tissue paper, transfer techniques and more to ensure that the creative inspiration is never lacking! Please supply your own journal on the first day of class. Class meets Wednesdays, Sept. 27, Oct. 4, 11, 18, 25 and Nov. 1st, 6 -7:30 p.m. inside the studio at 5200 Grove Ave in St. Giles Church. An introduction to Watercolor Painting with Artist Kate Burns.
Join us Wednesday afternoons for this 4 week long class in the basics of Watercolor painting. Students will acquire a beginner's set of supplies, receive instruction each week and take home a completed piece of art. $160 tuition and $50 supply fee.
