Homeschool Art at Make Creative Studio
Over the past six years, our Homeschool Art Classes have grown to include more than 27 students across both Primary and Intermediate levels. On Thursdays, Make Creative Studio becomes a vibrant hub where parents relax in the gallery while students dive into hands-on art experiences designed to honor God, celebrate His Creation, and build artistic skills that can be continued at home.

Primary Class
ages 5 to 8
Our Primary class, focuses on foundational art skills while introducing students to global art and culture. Through projects inspired by the Elements of Design, children learn about God and the beauty of diversity. They explore the work of renowned artists like Vincent van Gogh alongside lesser-known artists such as Black American painter Alma Thomas. Memorable highlights may include creating oil pastel Guitars of Paracho in celebration of Hispanic Heritage, crafting papier-mâché Egyptian cats, or handbuilding clay bowls.

Intermediate Class
ages 9 to 13
Designed for ages 9 to 13, the Intermediate class deepens students’ understanding of both the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. Using a variety of media—clay, fiber, watercolor, oil pastel, and acrylic—students receive high-quality instruction in a creative, Christ-centered environment. The year culminates in a professional Gallery Showing, where students proudly exhibit their work and celebrate their growth as young artists.
